Job Description:

• Architect (Multi-Cloud & AI Platforms)

• Clearance: SC Clearance required
• Rate: Inside IR35
• 4 months contract (with potential for an extension)

Are you an experienced Architect who bridges the gap between cutting-edge Cloud AI and robust heritage data platforms?

We are seeking an Architect to design, evolve, and migrate enterprise-grade analytics ecosystems. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader, driving architecture decisions and shaping hybrid cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and physical on-premise datacenters.

About the role:

• Design AI/ML Platforms: Architect scalable end-to-end MLOps and analytics platforms leveraging AWS SageMaker and Azure Machine Learning.
• Drive Modernisation: Own the strategy and roadmaps for legacy-to-cloud transformations, specifically driving SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya migration and re-platforming programmes.
• Hybrid Infrastructure: Deliver robust architecture across a complex multi-cloud and physical datacenter estate, ensuring top-tier scalability, security, and resilience.
• Governance & Blueprints: Produce high-level (HLD) and low-level (LLD) design artefacts, lead architecture reviews, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

What You Bring:

• Multi-Cloud Expertise: Proven architecture experience across both AWS and Azure (mandatory), alongside on-premise datacenter environments.
• The SAS Edge: Solid understanding of SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya platforms, with direct experience in modernization or migration strategies.
• AI/ML Lifecycle: Hands-on experience architecting solution platforms with SageMaker and Azure ML.
• Structured Frameworks: Familiarity with architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API-driven design.
